Kim Scott joined NRG’s Vancouver office in 2011. Starting as a Senior Research Manager, she was quickly promoted to Research Consultant and subsequently rose to her current role as a Vice President.

In her role as Vice President Kim demonstrates expertise across a variety of sectors, notably in financial, transportation, post-secondary education, local government, and member associations. Kim’s understanding of her clients’ organizational objectives, combined with an ability to tailor the research approach and reporting to meet project needs, makes her a sought-after research partner.

Kim draws on her many years of experience in the market research industry, from her first role as a telephone interviewer through to her current role as Vice President, to create a transparent and effective research experience. She ensures that every questionnaire or recruitment screener is meaningful for all audiences: clients, programmers, interviewers, and respondents. This attention to detail ensures that her data is accurate and reliable, her insights are well-informed, and her clients receive excellent research value on every project.

Beyond the research Kim plays a leadership role in corporate communications and public relations, as well as in mentorship and skills development for the research team in the Vancouver office. She also shares her knowledge and experience externally as the current Vice Chair of the BC Chapter of the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association (MRIA) and a past secretary of the MRIA’s Emerging Leaders Task Force. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Alberta.

When not devoting herself to the finer points of market research, Kim can often be found dreaming of travel, sampling a new craft beer, playing trivia games, or learning to speak German.
