Panels

Panels provide an efficient way for you to get information from specific target populations—including consumers, customers, business professionals, citizens or other populations that you’re interested in.

A key benefit of panels is that the same participants agree to be re-contacted at different points over time. This gives you enhanced analytical power because participants serve as their own statistical control. You can also tune into the dynamics of customer attitudes and behaviour. You can evaluate not only the magnitude of customer change over time, but you can understand why customer attitudes and behaviours have shifted.

NRG Research Group’s panel members are recruited after completing a survey in which basic demographic, lifestyle and other behavioral data (for example, television viewing habits) are collected. These recruits then become participants in future panels, based on criteria that you choose. For example, you might want to understand how your older male customers view a new product that you’re thinking about bringing to market. We would then target the survey to panelists who meet this criterion.
