The Marketing Research and Intelligence Association (MRIA) held a speed-mentorship event in October for local post-secondary students at the Metropolitan Hotel in Vancouver. This event was paired with a concurrent speaker event for current marketing research practitioners.
Our own Vice President Kim Scott represented NRG at the student event, speaking with students from a variety of schools and programs about the work that NRG does as a full-service market research agency. She was excited to share her love for research with the students, who were similarly enthusiastic about the depth and breadth of career possibilities in the market research industry.
At the same time, Research Assistant Svea Ovans and Research Consultant Cam Mathewson joined a group of practicing researchers in a speaker session about how researchers can incorporate behavioural economics into our work. Svea and Cam look forward to sharing these insights with the rest of the team and incorporating these lessons into questionnaires and moderation guides.
NRG’s Research Assistant Natalia Cheyne also helped to put on this event. Her smiling face greeted each participant as they came in, and she did an excellent job of managing the logistics of two concurrent events.
