NRG Research Group was commissioned by Transport Canada to conduct a survey of shippers from across Canada. A total of 262 interviews were conducted between August 7 and September 16, 2009.
The survey is part of Transport Canada’s Rail Freight Service review. The results outlined in this report reflect the experiences and impressions of shippers related to the rail service from their primary Class 1 rail provider, i.e. the railway responsible for the movement of the majority of the main commodity shipped (CN or CP).

In addition to the Shipper Survey, NRG Research Group also conducted a survey on Other Stakeholders. A summary of the results are available in the reports listed below.

JAN 2010 Satisfaction with Canada Line and Connecting Buses (PDF)
TransLink conducted a survey among Metro Vancouver residents to assess initial satisfaction with the Canada Line service and the connecting buses.
The survey was conducted using the TransLink Listens online panel. The results were weighted to reflect the age, gender, region, and main transportation mode parameters of Metro Vancouver.
APR 2009 Government of Alberta 2009 Pre/Post Budget Survey (PDF)
A total of 2,656 telephone surveys were conducted with a representative cross section of Albertans pre and post the 2009 budget annoucement. This study aimed to understand the impact of the budget on residents' attitudes and perceptions of the economic conditions in the province.
MAR 2009 Vancouver Police Community - Policing Assessment Report : Residential Survey Results (PDF)
820 Vancouver residents were surveyed to assess their perceptions of patrol area safety, crime and victimization. This is the latest report from this on-going bi-annual survey NRG conducts to identify trends.
JAN 2009 Skytrain Riders' Musical Preferences (PDF 366 KB)
TransLink Listens panelists who ride SkyTrain as a primary or secondary mode of transportation were invited to complete a SkyTrain Holiday Music Survey "to get your feedback on a trial program being considered by SkyTrain Management" on December 12.
AUG 2008 AirCare VIR Report (PDF 1.47 MB)
The new VIR was introduced on June 2, 2008. AirCare is interested in understanding the effectiveness of the new report in informing and affecting behaviour.

APR 2007 Vancouver Police Department: Resident and Business Survey

1,200 residents and businesses were surveyed to assess their perceptions of neighbourhood safety, crime and victimization. NRG completes this survey every two years to show trends.
