- NRG’s capacity includes 800 calling hours per day making our call centre one of the largest in Canada.
- NRG has fully staffed data, IT, and sampling departments. We use SPSS for data processing and can export data into different formats in order to suit your needs.
Data Management
At NRG, there is a strict regimen for data cleaning, data analysis, and data presentation operations, which ensures precise results for clients. Some of our quality control procedures include:
- Field pre-testing
- Briefing interviewers prior to project commencement
- Three-way monitoring of live telephone interviews
- 10 per cent of all surveys and recruits are verified by a supervisor through telephone monitoring or call backs
- Incidence sheets record calls made with a breakdown of responses
- Database consistency reports
- Post-project debriefing
Pre-testing
All surveys are pre-tested before the final fielding process. The pre-test identifies any problems or concerns before the survey goes into field. Following pre-testing, there is a review of the results and required changes to the questionnaire are made with client approval.
Briefing
All interviewers are briefed by the project coordinator in our phone centre prior to any pre-test or final survey going into field. This involves a review of the survey questions, potential pronunciation problems and a description of the main goal and any anticipated problems. During the survey fieldwork there is a constant dialogue with the project manager. This allows for feedback from the interviewers, and enables the project manager to inform interviewers of any problems relating to the survey structure or content.
Data Verification and Monitoring (CATI)
Utilizing computer-aided telephone interviewing (CATI) software provides many benefits, such as reduced interviewer bias and better quality control. Frequencies on all questions are tabulated following every shift to ensure that skip patterns are being followed correctly, and that responses are falling within acceptable ranges
